AWARE for All Seattle

March 13, 2014

On January 30, a lively, diverse group of people from the Seattle area gathered at Town Hall for AWARE for All Seattle. The event, which was sponsored nationally by EMD Serono, regionally by WIRB, and locally by Benaroya Research Institute, ITHS, and Seattle Children’s Hospital brought together members of the public and medical professionals to promote understanding and dialogue around clinical research participation.

Attendees received free health screenings, explored interactive health exhibits, and learned from prominent Seattle-area doctors. Many felt that the most powerful part of the evening was hearing the personal stories from patients involved in research.

The goal of Aware for All events is not only to educate and empower the public around the clinical research process, but to also show gratitude and appreciation for the individuals who have participated in trials. For over a decade, AWARE for All events have reached communities across the United States.
