The CISCRP staff has had a demanding travel schedule spreading awareness and providing educational information about the integral roles that the public and patients play in clinical research and how to engage them as partners in the clinical research process. As part of these efforts, CISCRP has collaborated with stakeholders throughout the clinical research enterprise.
In the past few months alone, CISCRP staff has visited more than a dozen cities in the US and five cities in Europe to discuss its programs and research results. CISCRP staff has also attended a number of major industry conferences including ACRP’s Global Conference & Exhibition and the DIA Annual Meeting. At both conferences, the CISCRP team organized and implemented Medical Heroes Appreciation 5K Run and Walk events. The CISCRP team has also been actively participating in panel discussions focusing on clinical trial results disclosure, patient engagement and empowerment.
This past May, CISCRP hosted a webinar to provide updates on the new Medical Heroes museum exhibit, which will travel to 12 cities around the country on a three-year tour. CISCRP also recently participated in several online Q&A discussions with members of various patient advocacy groups.
In the upcoming summer and fall months, our staff will continue engaging professional communities in important conversations regarding clinical research and patient centered drug development. CISCRP will be participating in the Clinical Research Transparency & Data Disclosure Strategies conference, the Revolutionizing Informed Consent conference, the Eye for Pharma conference and the Aggregrate Real World Outcomes to Maximize Reimbursement conference.
