It’s a New Year and the CISCRP team is embracing an exciting and highly active 2015! While creating this latest issue of Patients as Partners, a theme emerged: partnership. Over the last few months, our office has been brimming with conversations about opportunities for collaboration. We are so grateful for the many existing and new partnerships that are helping to expand our reach and further our mission.
We are delighted to welcome back Jill McNair to a fulltime position as Director of Education, Outreach and Community Support. Jill directed the AWARE for All program at CISCRP for five years and will now have an expanded role overseeing outreach and development initiatives.
In October, the AWARE for All program celebrated its 10 year anniversary with a widely attended event in our hometown of Boston. A dedicated Planning Team and a collective of Community Partners made the evening a true success and brought a diverse crowd of professionals, patients, and the public. In 2015, CISCRP will launch its first AWARE program in Europe.
Our Trial Results program continues to grow with added support from the changing regulatory landscape. Our research team has been working on new projects including a 2015 Perceptions & Insights study that will be discussed at five upcoming roundtable events this year through our collaboration with Acurian.
We have a number of Medical Heroes Appreciation events in the coming months, including a 5K Run/Walk at the ACRP Annual Conference & Exhibition in Salt Lake City and the DIA Annual Meeting in Washington D.C., as well as a special dinner at the Patients as Partners Conference in Philadelphia. Through our partnership with PhRMA, we will also hold an AWARE for All event in Washington D.C. in the spring 2015.
Please contact us if you wish to get more involved in any of our programs. And as always, we welcome your feedback on ways we can continue to improve our newsletter.
Warmly,
Maya Wise
