Expanding Educational Content With Licensing Agreements

January 5, 2015

Looking at BrochureOver the past decade, CISCRP has developed an extensive library of educational materials – posters, brochures, chapters, books, videos — for research sponsors, CROs, investigative sites and other clinical research professionals to use with their patients. Some of CISCRP’s materials have been nationally recognized including an Introduction to Clinical Trials in the Merck Manual and The Gift of Participation.

All of CISCRP’s educational content is available in print form and electronically. Organizations like Johnson & Johnson, EMD Serono, and PharmaNet (now Inventiv) have distributed posters and customized versions of CISCRP books and brochures to their study volunteers. ACRP, CTTI (Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative), and Mast Therapeutics have used CISCRP content for distribution on their web sites. The materials can be packaged in their current format or offered in a private label format.

The Gift of ParticipationCISCRP is seeing growing interest in its educational content. Recently PhRMA, TrialReach/CureClick, and Sanofi-Genzyme licensed CISCRP’s educational materials including informational videos, charts and statistics, research studies, and participant stories. In collaboration with PhRMA, CISCRP is creating a series of one-page resources that focus on clinical research topics. Sanofi-Genzyme is utilizing CISCRP e-content in the form of visual and written pieces for their internal and external educational web resource. This web resource will serve both patients and clinical research professionals. TrialReach and CureClick are incorporating e-content from CISCRP to provide tools for key patient and health advocates to educate patients and the public through their online communities.7810158_Coffee Poster and DPS.indd

Clinical research stakeholders have the opportunity to repurpose and reinvent resources in new formats for a variety of learning styles. The result is an ever-growing collection of materials that inform and engage study volunteers and their support network.
